Onboard Communication System

BITCOM

KenBIT implements its own hardware solutions, creating unified and compatible systems

Our onboard communication system is designed to integrate local telecommunications services for the vehicle crew (intercom function, ZMP handling, performance of alarm-signal reception functions, threats awareness, diagnostic information, etc.). It provides radio communication for the dismount/assault team and links it to the parent vehicle. The system integrates all devices and sensors of the command vehicle into a complete, coherent teleinformatics system. At the same time, it enables cooperation with communications, command, and control systems operating in the Polish Armed Forces (SZ RP), as well as with civilian systems.

Wireless communication

  • voice radio communication for the dismounted assault team (800 m)

  • data exchange between the dismount and the vehicle ZMP

  • transmission of alarm signals

  • sending text messages via SMS

  • simultaneous exchange of data and voice

Wired communication

  • vehicle intercom function (voice)

  • data exchange between the ZMP (LAN)

  • handling of the vehicle’s alarm and diagnostic sensors

  • remote unit up to 3 km

  • access communication (voice, data) with the vehicle dismount

Long-range communication - provision of voice services

  • automatic connections with the STORCZYK system

  • connections via VHF/HF channels between subscribers of analogue and digital telecommunications networks

  • ISDN and VoIP (H.323) subscriber support

  • connections between subscribers of different networks and RF directions (VHF/HF)

  • connections with subscribers of the JRS and WRS UKF subsystems

Data transmission services provision

  • data transmission compliant with STANAG 5066
  • cooperation with switched and packet telecommunications networks
  • exchange of acknowledged and unacknowledged messages
  • e-mail services over the VHF/HF channel
  • HTTP, FTP, TELNET, etc. services accessible from standard workstation software used in packet networks
