Technical support for the MiG-29 simulator.

On November 18, 2022, KenBIT Sp. z o.o. completed a multi-year agreement signed in 2019 with the 3rd Regional Logistics Base (Aircraft Engineering Division in Kutno), covering the servicing of the MiG-29 aircraft simulator at the 23rd Tactical Air Base.

The MiG-29 simulator is an invaluable tool used to certify MiG-29 crews and maintain operational procedures for this aircraft at many times lower costs.

The servicing involved performing regular quarterly inspections, including:

  • maintaining the simulator cockpit—together with its IT and projection system—in continuous operational readiness, along with replacing required components;
  • monitoring and inspecting the simulator support devices such as communications systems, power supply, air conditioning, and the smoke-generation system;
  • maintaining and modifying the Simulator software by preparing and implementing additional software components that affect simulation and visualization in line with the user’s current needs.

During the contract, a series of technical bulletins was developed to support pilot training—bulletins that were not originally included in the simulator construction agreement—which significantly expanded its training capabilities. This, in turn, contributed meaningfully to improving the safety of MiG-29 crews during aircraft operations.

Currently, a procedure is underway conducted by the 3rd Regional Logistics Base to conclude the next agreement for a further four-year period of MiG-29 simulator servicing.
