The XDM-16 High-Frequency Signal Switch is a compact device for switching high-frequency signals in the range of 0 – 18 GHz. The device switches in each of its sixteen channels two signals coming from receiving antennas for the HF/VHF and microwave bands, delivering them to the input of the connected broadband receiver. The switch is intended for use in broadband interception systems, frequency spectrum monitoring, reconnaissance and electronic warfare. In order to ensure impedance continuity and constant loading of distribution amplifiers, outputs not in use at a given moment are terminated with 50 Ω broadband loads.

The switch is supervised by a locally and remotely controlled microprocessor system, equipped with control and monitoring modules for the operation of concentric DP-DT switching relays. The selector in its basic operating mode is controlled remotely (external control) via a computer network (LAN), using the TCP protocol, by a superior unit (e.g. reconnaissance system controller).
