Laser Radiation Warning System

SOL-2

The SOL-2 Laser Irradiation Warning System is designed for detecting, warning and protecting a vehicle (object) against laser irradiation generated by laser target designators and laser rangefinders from a distance of up to approx. 12 km (depending on the source power). SOL-2 allows for determining the direction from which the vehicle is being irradiated. SOL-2 can be installed on mobile objects (land and sea).

The SOL-2 system cooperates with smoke grenade/rocket launchers used for laying smoke screens. It provides the possibility of activating the smoke system after receiving an irradiation signal automatically or manually.

At the moment of threat detection, the system generates graphic, audible and visual alarms. The SOL-2 system is integrated with the local communication/management system of the object, informing the crew about laser irradiation and its direction. Integration with the vehicle system is possible via Ethernet, RS232/RS485 interfaces or the CAN bus.

SOL-2 transmits threat information to higher-level BMS-class systems.
