Digital Telecommunication Device

CUT-2RI

The CUT-2RI Digital Telecommunication Device is intended for use in portable and stationary equipment sets used for deploying automatic, digital telecommunication networks integrating radio, telephone and data exchange services. It can be used for organising field, stationary, terminal and transit-terminal communication nodes. It features implemented intercom solutions with the possibility of direct connection of VHF and HF radio stations, allowing for data transmission.

The CUT-2RI integrates in a single housing all the necessary and sufficient functionality for implementing a command vehicle teleinformatics system. The CUT-2RI integrates into a unified system: radio stations, satellite terminals, computer terminals and subscriber end devices. The cooperation of the CUT-2RI with battlefield radio stations covers a very wide functional range. It includes telephone connections between wired and radio subscribers as well as advanced IP data transmission services.

Characteristics

  • Subscriber lines

  • Digital trunks

  • Ethernet interfaces

  • VoIP telephony

  • Router/switch functions

  • Radio station handling

  • Automatic IP data exchange

  • Duplex conferences

  • Power supply 27 V DC

Switchboard and concentrator function

  • Attachment of group trunks: STANAG 4210, Eurocom 64…2048 kb/s, G.703, STANAG 4578 and DSS1 ISDNPRI, STANAG 4206

  • Cooperation with public ISDN PRI exchanges

  • Virtual trunk configuration 8192 kb/s (4 x E1)

  • Digital and analogue subscriber equipment

On the exchange side, the CUT-2RI offers a wide range of group trunks. The device configuration is carried out "to customer specifications". In the basic version, the device features eight group trunks in the standards: STANAG 4210, STANAG 4578, EUROCOM, ISDN PRI and STANAG 4206. Additionally, 4 E1 trunks can be used together to create a virtual 4xE1 trunk with a throughput of 8192 kbit/s. Basically, the range of standardisation used on the exchange side is sufficient to enable connection to any telecommunication system that may be encountered in both NATO armies and civilian infrastructure.
