KenBIT at the CWIX 2020 exercise.

From 8 to 26 June 2020, the CWIX exercise (Coalition Warrior Interoperability eXercise, eXamination, eXperimentation, eXploration) took place. The CWIX 2020 exercises were organised by the Allied Command Transformation (ACT). These are the largest—and above all the most important—workshops held by NATO, during which command-and-control and communications support systems that are crucial to the effectiveness of headquarters operations are tested, verified, and evaluated.

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition of the exercise was conducted in a fully distributed manner. Individual teams connected from their headquarters via VPN.

Despite the unusual format, our engineering team once again participated both in the preparatory conferences and in the exercises themselves.

In the NATO CWIX 2020 exercise, the BMS Hektor system produced by KenBIT underwent formal AV&V (Assurance Verification & Validation) verification and validation to comply with the FMN Spiral 3 profile, within the Land C2 Information Exchange component. All tests were completed successfully.
