During the conference, the exercise plan was established, including the organization of exercise combat formations and the exercise scenarios.
The CWIX 2016 interoperability exercises will take place at JFTC in Bydgoszcz from 13 June to 30 June 2016. A broad range of cooperation between the participating countries’ information systems will be tested, mainly in terms of exchanging documents and operational data. The systems participating in the exercise will operate within a common network that enables the processing of classified information. Particular attention will be paid to data exchange in accordance with the MIP standard (Multilateral Interoperability Programme).

As part of the deployed systems, CIS HEKTOR (battlefield identification server) will be launched for the first time. It will be a significant integrator, substantially enhancing the forces’ situational awareness during joint operations, primarily by: identifying friendly and allied military units and assets, exchanging data in this area among the branches of the armed forces, thereby increasing the level of forces’ security and, as a result, improving the effectiveness of their operations. It is based on the JC3IEDM model from the MIP programme and enables data conversion between the NFFI, NVG, and ADATP-3 standards. This solution will be among the first in the world to use the latest version of the MIP data-exchange protocol—ADEM (Alternate Development and Exchange Method).
