NEW SATELLITE SYSTEMS FOR THE POLISH NAVY

On 11 January 2017, following a successful public tender, KenBIT signed a contract with the Inspectorate of Armaments for the delivery of “Shipborne SATCOM BROADBAND – VSAT satellite terminals.” The contract covers the modernization of 3 terminals already installed on ships of the Polish Navy and one stationary system site, as well as the supply, installation, and integration of 6 sets of modern satellite communications systems on Polish Navy vessels.

The contract is divided into seven stages, and the deadline for completing the final stage is 10 July 2018. The contract value is PLN 19,434,000.00, and its purpose is to ensure the operational capability of ships of the Polish Navy in using modern satellite communications systems. This is a significant contract for our company—a major challenge and a great responsibility.

It is also worth noting that KenBIT has already delivered a similar system, which is part of the “Shipboard Integrated Communications System” for the newly built Polish Navy vessel ORP Kormoran.
