The Conference organizers were, as tradition has it, the Institute of Telecommunications and the Institute of Radioelectronics of the Electronics Faculty of the Military University of Technology. Among the participants, the majority were representatives of technical universities, research and academic institutes, organizational units of the General Staff, state institutions, as well as Polish and foreign companies.
Among the many interesting presentations, participants’ attention was drawn in particular to “Collection and exchange of reconnaissance data in terms of NATO requirements” by Jarosław Milewski, Paweł Kaniewski, and Robert Urban from the Military Institute of Communications, and “Automatic classification of visual evoked potentials based on wavelet decomposition” by Paweł Stasiakiewicz, Andrzej P. Dobrowolski, and Kazimierz Tomczykiewicz from the Military University of Technology’s Faculty of Electronics.
During the company presentation “KenBIT—challenges for the ambitious,” the company’s President, Dariusz Koenig, presented, among other things, the origin of the company and its current structure, as well as the certificates and concessions it holds, its areas of activity, the systems implemented to date that operate within the Ministry of National Defence and in state institutions. It should be emphasized that KenBIT has for many years also been successfully carrying out R&D work, including on behalf of the National Centre for Research and Development.
There is no doubt that KenBIT Sp. z o. o. is an important element of the state’s security system, and for this reason it ranked 24th on the list of enterprises of particular economic and defence importance (pointed out in the REGULATION OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS of 3 November 2015).
During his presentation, the President informed the Conference participants about taking on further ambitious challenges that expand KenBIT’s scope of activity. Under the “Strategy for Responsible Development” project developed by the Ministry of Development, the company obtained co-financing for the construction of a Research & Development Centre for research into cybersecurity and information security.
As part of the Conference, a poster session was also held, in which 12 projects and results of scientific and technical research related to electronic warfare were presented, including KenBIT’s project “Broadband Radiocommunications Recorder.”
At the accompanying exhibition of XI KNTWRE, KenBIT presented products closely related to the Conference topic, including: software for the National Automatic Spectrum Monitoring System—KASMON, the IS-1 System Integrator, mobile workstations WSP-1 and WSP-2, the RTK-1 tactical radiotelephone, and the BITcom onboard communications system.
Among many visitors to KenBIT’s stand was a truly exceptional guest—Lt. Col. (ret.) Józef KWIATOSZ, who trained and raised many generations of EW specialists during his long years of service and work. Thank you, Sir Lieutenant Colonel!!!
