SLS devices are designed for distributing navigation signals in the NMEA standard, as well as other serial transmission signals carried via RS-422 interfaces at speeds of up to 2 Mbit/s. Their primary application is to receive, amplify, galvanically isolate, and distribute navigation signals from sensors/receivers (GPS, log, compass, echo sounder, clock, anemometer, etc.) to multiple receiving points—repeaters, recorders, displays, and other navigation equipment—while providing surge protection and anti-interference measures to ensure reliable operation and interoperability of the ship’s navigation systems.
The devices ensure continuous delivery of navigation information thanks to the ability to connect two sources of the same signal type—for example two GPS receivers (primary and backup). The system provides automatic switching to the backup source in the event of a signal loss from the primary source and automatically restores communication with the primary source once it is restarted.
The Modem Selector ASM is a device that enables a VSAT terminal to work with three satellite modems operating in the L band frequency range (950 MHz to 2150 MHz). It is available in two versions:
A – with a highly stable 10 MHz reference generator,
B – without the 10 MHz reference generator.
